Unsung Hero

Agriculture is jam-packed with unsung heroes. As an industry sector it is one which until recently has received scant recognition.
Last year 'The Scottish Farmer' magazine introduced the inaugural 'Agricultural Supplier Awards' to recognise the efforts of those who sometimes plough a lonely trail, but without whom the industry would grind to a halt.
Reekie's Bob Greig had been nominated along with 4 other well kent faces from around Scotland for the category 'Unsung Hero of the Year'. We are delighted Bob received the award in a packed Highland Hall at this year's Royal Highalnd Show.
Bob was 'Mr Training Board' before moving on to carve out a succesful sales career. He also started the first mobile parts delivery service from his car! Often popping off parts to his extensive contacts late in the evening.
Bob now uses all his aquired expertise and knowledge as the group demonstrator, an invaluable role in today's modern machinery market.
Bob remarked "this award is the second most exciting thing to happen to me since Freuchie won the village cricket competition at Lords.
