Bob Greig 'Unsung Hero' Retires After 35 Years
Bob Greig started in the agricultural industry on a Friday having left school on the Wednesday in 1958. As an apprentice with Gillies & Henderson who where then sub agents for MF through Farmec, Bob started a 50 year association with Massey Ferguson, both have become household names in Scotland and beyond.
They have both seen massive changes during the last 50 years. Both have adapted and changed to the ever increasing demands of the agricultural industry. They certainly both look differently now than they did 50 years ago, in shape and size. And both are cherised, respected and acknowledged for what they have brought to changing demands of agriculture.
Bob joined the Reekie Group in 1973 as a Demonstrator, a position he returned to having spent time sub-contracted to the Agricultural Training Board and as a Area Sales Manager.
Two years ago at the inaugural Scottish Farmer awards Bob was fittingly presented with the 'Unsung Hero Award', a tribute to a person who does go the extra mile.
Reekie Sales Director Sam Mercer congratulates Bob on his retirement together with Bob's wife Helen and MF Area Manager Neil Butler.
