Regular maintenance is not only good working practice, it is also a legal requirement.
The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 states: "Every employer shall ensure that work equipment is maintained in an efficient state, in efficient working order and in good repair". Primarily the equipment is safe, but also impacts on productivity.
Time inervals between services will vary according on intensity of use and working environment. We can provide flexible service maintenance options for your handling equipment:
Contract Hire with Maintenance:
When you commit to a new or second hand forklift you can choose to include maintenance. The contract covers routine servicing and breakdown coverage. The price includes labour, parts and travel time to and from site, during normal working hours (excluding weekends).
The contract excludes accidental damage, replacement tyres, forks, misuse and abuse.
Service Maintenance:
Establish a planned programme of Preventative Maintenance Inspections and servicing tailored to suit your equipment application and business.
We are able to arrange competitively priced service contracts, which aim to give you the peace of mind that comes with knowing that a regularly and well maintained piece of equipment is far less likely to break down when you need it most. The contracts are flexible to suit your individual needs, with variable service intervals determined by the level of usage of the equipment.
